Wendy Harris is a main character on Mom. She is portrayed by Beth Hall.
Biography[]
Wendy was born in Florida with two mothers and lived on a houseboat in the Keys. She was once married at 22 with a guy for a green card who promised her $3,000, but as it turns out he’s broke and is from Iowa.
Wendy, nicknamed "Weeping Wendy" by Bonnie, is known for being quite emotional most of the time. We see this frequently at A.A. Meetings. Wendy was a recurring character beginning in Season 2 and was bumped up to a main character in Season 3. She usually appears with the girls after meetings at The Bistro, where they sit and discuss all sorts of things.
She seems to possibly have a bisexual side after Bonnie asks the girls (excluding Christy) who would date her if she went gay. Wendy is the only one who deeply thinks about it and compliments her legs, much to Christy's confusion (hearing that her friend may like her mother).
Wendy sometimes acts a bit childish. It's become somewhat of a running gag that Wendy doesn't understand the flow of the group. Sometimes she is honest when the girls don't want her to be, as shown in Season 3's "Death, Death, Death and a Bucket of Chicken" when Bonnie walks in asking "Sorry I'm late. What did I miss?" and Jill, Marjorie and Christy all brush off what they've been talking about (Bonnie's mole) but Wendy says "Lookin' at your mole", to which Jill questions her "Did you not see what we were doing here?".
