Quotes

Christy: I really need you to pay me back the money I lent you to buy the van.
Baxter: Oh, okay. Well your timing is good, 'cause I'll have that money very soon.
Christy: So, never...

Christy: I hate to do this, and I wouldn't if I wasn't really up against it, but is there any way you could lend me a few grand until the end of the month?
Bonnie: Oh, boy, it's always so awkward when relatives ask for money.
Christy: Relative? I'm not some second cousin who tracked you down on Facebook. I'm your daughter.
Bonnie: See, it's already uncomfortable.
Christy: Come on, you know I'm good for it.
Bonnie: Do I?
Christy: Mom!
Bonnie: I-I would help you if I could, but I'm strapped too; I'm going paycheck to paycheck.
...
Bonnie: You know, I do have an idea that might buy you a little time.
Christy: Great, what is it?
Bonnie: Why don't I move in with you and the kids, and we'll share expenses?
[Christy gives Bonnie a panicked look and sighs]
Christy: Yeah, that is an idea.
Bonnie: We'd be roomies!
Christy: Yeah, roomies!
Bonnie: So, what do you say?
Christy: Ooh, it's a tough one. I say no and I might be broke and homeless living on the street, scavenging on the street looking for food like dog, I say yes and I'm living with you.
Bonnie: So?
Christy: I'm thinking.

Bonnie: What's going on?
Christy: Oh, um, I just thought that we could invite...?
Regina: Regina.
Christy: ...Regina out for a cup of coffee.
Bonnie: Oh, how nice! (whispers) why would we do that?
Christy: We're supposed to help each other.
Bonnie: That's just a suggestion, that's not a rule.
