Episode Description[]

In Christy's dream, Christy and Bonnie make their way back to America from a holiday in Mexico but Bonnie sets Christy up to be arrested for drugs. Christy wakes up annoyed and calls Bonnie angry at her for her actions in her dream. Bonnie recalls that when Christy had a bad dream she would let her crawl into her bed until she felt safe, but now Christy is an adult so instead she's just gonna hang up. Christy lays back down and is mad at herself "Of all the things to yell at my Mother for, I had to pick the one that didn't happen.".

The next morning she leaves a voicemail apologizing for last night but by the end of it becomes mad again and realizes it could come back to bite her in the ass. She questions why Roscoe isn't dressed. Roscoe complains that his underwear is crunchy and he doesn't have any clean underwear. Christy goes to get some underwear from Violet's room, Roscoe complains but Christy tells him no one will know, Roscoe moans that he'll know. Christy asks Violet for underwear, Violet critiques her parenting before asking her for money for jeans. Christy tell her to use her money to buy her own before telling her she needs to change her mindset and remember she needs to prepare for everything that comes with pregnancy including the baby.

Christy and Roscoe go shopping, Christy questions an employee about where the toilets are so Roscoe can change, the employee denies there being toilets which makes Christy mad. Roscoe tries to smooth things out but Christy attempts to get Roscoe to change in the store by placing a towel in front of him, while angry at the employee. The employee says he'll have to call security, but Christy isn't bothered and begins to actually call security herself. The employee tells her she's a horrible woman while walking away, Christy isn't bothered as she already heard the same from another woman earlier. Christy immediately switches from angry to polite and nice when speaking to Roscoe, still encouraging a clothed Roscoe to change.

At work, Christy serves two customers and one of them tells her she would be prettier if she smiled, Christy is annoyed but smiles, which the customer praises her for but then insults her as she walks away. Christy overhears and stops, she becomes mad and thinks about going back to him but instead goes into the kitchen. Gabriel tries to compliment her but an angry Christy tells him off.

At an A.A. Meeting, Christy talks to Marjorie, Marjorie tells her that they met before at a meeting and she remembers Christy crying into her purse. Marjorie questions how Christy is doing and Christy jokes that she got a new purse. Christy becomes sincere and admits the new purse is the only thing good in her life right now, Marjorie apologizes for her situation. Christy asks Marjorie if she has ever had a day where everyone she meets is "a gigantic ass", Marjorie admits she has but realized that if everyone she meets is an ass, then she's the one being an ass. Christy is surprised to hear that Marjorie thinks she's being the annoying one, and as Marjorie walks away Christy mocks her. Christy takes a second of realization, and comes to the conclusion that Marjorie is actually right.

During an A.A. member talking, Christy admits she has to take responsibility but Marjorie doesn't know what it's like to grow up with her Mother. Marjorie understands that it may have been a nightmare but Christy is also not a child anymore. Christy is aware of the fact but she still makes her mad. Marjorie gives Christy advice, "You got two options sweetie: you can stay angry at your mother and be miserable for the rest of your life, or you can let it go and be happy.". Christy questions where a third option is.

Christy and Bonnie meet at a bakery and Christy apologizes for yelling at her. As Christy apologizes, Bonnie makes it hard for her and Christy becomes annoyed but stays patient and offers to buy lunch. Bonnie states that if she had cash she would buy her pregnant daughter some new jeans but notes that Christy is doing a tough love thing with Violet instead. Christy is surprised to hear that Bonnie knows about the jeans, Bonnie reveals that Violet tweeted it. Christy asks Bonnie if she defended her, Bonnie states that she retweeted it and moved on. Christy realizes that the reason she had the dream was because Bonnie never defends her and always puts her own needs ahead of Christy's. Bonnie jokes and continues making Christy annoyed.

At home, Roscoe does a puzzle and Christy lets him know that she washed his clothes. When Roscoe doesn't thank her, Christy questions if he's giving her the silent treatment.. Roscoe enlightens her that the puzzle is hard and he's just trying to concentrate. Christy apologizes for not being on top of the laundry, Roscoe discloses that they're also out of peanut butter, jelly and bread. Christy begins helping with his puzzle while she tells him that she'll always be there for him and love him. Roscoe questions if that will always be the case if he turns into his father. Christy tells him that the fact that he's doing a puzzle means he won't be his Dad.

In the kitchen, Violet and Luke eat cheesecake. Violet is annoyed at Christy for making her cheesecake knowing that she has stopped being able to fit into her pants. Christy tries to amend but Violet doesn't care. Luke notices this and calls her out, leading Violet to become annoyed, Christy advises Luke to leave it alone for his own sake but he continues. Luke is then told to leave by an angry Violet and questions Christy if guys get smarter over time. Christy attempts to lie to her but can't and admits that they don't, making Violet laugh.

At work Christy apologizes for being bitchy in the workplace and admits she is working on it. Chef Rudy appreciates the sentiment before making a sexual joke. Christy apologizes to Gabriel but he misreads and thinks she's taking him back. Christy makes it clear to him that they are done with their sexual relationship. Christy begins to serve a meal but a customer calls her over. She realizes that it's the same customer who told her to smile. She goes over and smiles and he apologizes for telling her to smile, she thanks him and accepts the apology. She tells him to have a nice lunch and walks away as she quietly states that she wishes she hadn't spit in his latte.

At an A.A. meeting, Marjorie and Bonnie interact, and seem to already know—and hate—each other. After it's revealed to Marjorie that Bonnie is Christy's mother, Marjorie comments: "No wonder you drank.". Later on Christy goes to apologize to the employee she yelled at. The employee thanks her, hugs her and becomes emotional. Christy asks if she can use the bathroom now and the employee tells her not to exploit their friendship while he continues to hug her.
