This page is for guiding users through how to categorize pages and what those categories are. This page lists all the categories that apply here on the Mom Wiki.

There are pages on this wiki. They all need to be categorized. There are categories for specific pages and there are also categories that go into categories, let's help you understand how to categorize!

please read everything carefully

Categories

Categorizing pages on the Mom Wiki is quite basic. There are different sets of pages that users need to know specifically how to categorize. The main pages are:

Categories can be difficult, but, our categories aren't complex. They consist of simple things inside of semi-basic categories such as. We start with Character pages:

Character

With Character pages, there are types of Characters and the Character must be categorized into whichever category applies to them, the Category: "Characters", is compulsory, because they are a Character. This category is where any Character, big or small on Mom appears. This is a compulsory Category.

Main

For Character pages, there are five main Categories for them:

EXPLANATION:

  • If the Character is a Main Character, they must be listed under "Main Characters" category. If they are not please do not list them under this category. Main Characters are usually in every single episode. However this can change, the Character Violet Plunkett was a Main Character in Season 1, Season 2 and Season 3, after this she became a Recurring and Guest Character.
  • If the Character is a Recurring Character, they must be listed under "Recurring Characters" category. If they are not, please do not list them under this category. Recurring Characters are not in every episode, but they can either appear often in episodes in a certain Season or they can appear more than once in the Series, over a few Seasons. They must to appear more than 3 times to be considered a Recurring Character though.
  • If the Character is an Episodic Character, they must be listed under "Episodic Characters" category. If they are not, please do not list them under this category. Episodic Characters are Character that appear in one episode for the entire series only. These Characters don't usually have a background, and there is consideration for them to be put in a new page called "Episode Characters of Mom". They would all be listed, underneath their name would be which episode they appeared in and a little background (if possible).
  • If the Character is an Unseen Character, they must be listed under "Unseen Characters" category. If they are not, please do not list them under this category. Unseen Characters are rare, they are Characters that are mentioned by name but are never seen. These Characters must be deleted from this category, if, they physically appear in an episode after their name has been mentioned.
  • If the Character is an A.A. Member, they must be listed under "A.A. Members" category. If they are not, please do not list them under this category. A.A. Members attend Alcoholics Anonymous Meetings and they can be any type of Character.

Seasonal

Next come the Season categories for every character. Seasonal categories aren't that hard to figure out, if a Character appears on a certain Season, or multiple Seasons, they shall get added to that Category. And it goes as listed:

EXPLANATION:

  • If the Character appears in Season 1, they must be listed under "Season 1 Characters" category. If they are not, please do not list them under this category.
  • If the Character appears in Season 2, they must be listed under "Season 2 Characters" category. If they are not, please do not list them under this category.
  • If the Character appears in Season 3, they must be listed under "Season 3 Characters" category. If they are not, please do not list them under this category.
  • If the Character appears in Season 4, they must be listed under "Season 4 Characters" category. If they are not, please do not list them under this category.
  • If the Character appears in Season 5, they must be listed under "Season 5 Characters" category. If they are not, please do not list them under this category.

Special

There are certain special Categories that Characters can go into:

  • No Image, this category contains all Characters and page types that do not have an image in its contents. Please add pages to this category is you see no image in it, or if you create a page and do not yet have an image to put on it, although we urge you to find or search for an image before you create a page. This is a Category because it helps other users who want to add images to pages, navigate through pages that have no images. If it does not seem applicable for the page to have an image, please link the page on an Admins wall and discuss why you think it doesn't need an image.
  • Article stub, this category contains all Characters and page types that don't contain everything the page type is supposed to and/or hasn't been updated. Page types should only be added to this category if it isn't complete and/or hasn't been updated to its fullest capacity (there is nothing left to update). This category is added by placing a
    {{Stub}}
at the very top of the page (can be done in both Visual Editor and Source Editor).
  • Content, this category contains all the Pages that have a image, words and/or template(s) on them. This should be on all pages, accompanied by a Stub template and a category if needed.
**LISTING CHARACTERS UNDER CATEGORIES THEY SHOULD NOT BE IN MULTIPLE TIMES WITHOUT AN EXPLANATION WILL BE CONSIDERED AS SPAM, THIS WILL RESULT IN A ONE WEEK BAN. Please go here for more information on Bans.

Cast

With Cast pages, there are types of Cast and the Cast must be categorized into whichever category applies to them, *the Category: "Cast", is compulsory, because they are a part of the Cast. This category is where any Cast, big or small on Mom appears. This is a compulsory Category.

Main

With Cast members, there are seven main Categories that they can fit into, the rest is for most pages and are special. The seven main Categories are:

Here is a little explanation and breakdown of those Categories:

  • If a Cast member, is a Actress, they must be listed under "Actresses" category. If they are not, please do not list them under this category. Actresses are female Actors.
  • If a Cast member is a Actors, they must be listed under "Actors" category. If they are not, please do not list them under this category. Actors are male Actors.
  • If a Cast member, is a part of the Main Cast, they must be listed under "Main Cast" category. If they are not, please do not list them under this category. Main Cast members are Cast members who portray Characters that appear in every episode, and those Characters they portray should be listed under the Main Characters category.
  • If a Cast member, is a part of the Recurring Cast, they must be listed under "Recurring Cast" category. If they are not, please do not list them under this category. Recurring Cast members are Cast members who portray Characters that appear in multiple episodes but not enough episodes to be considered a Main Character. Those Characters they portray should be listed under the Recurring Characters category.
  • If a Cast member, is a part of the Minor Cast, they must be listed under "Minor Cast" category. If they are not, please do not list them under this category. Minor Cast members are Cast members who portray Characters that appear in a few episodes only, something like 5 or less, but more than 1.
  • If a Cast member, is a part of the Episodic Cast, they must be listed under "Episodic Cast" category. If they are not, please do not list them under this category. Episodic Cast members are Cast members who portray Characters that appear in only one episode in the entire Series. Those Characters they portray should be listed under the Episode Characters category.

Episodes

Main

With Episode pages, there are main Categories, and they all correspond to Season pages. The Categories are listed below. One thing that should never happen is two Categories appearing on the same Episode page, because one episode cannot belong to two Seasons.

These Categories are also self-explanatory, BUT, once again, if you don't understand, episodes in "Season 1" belong to the "Season 1 Episodes" Category, episodes in "Season 2" belong to the "Season 2 Episodes" Category and so on... Episodes that open/start a Season should be all categorized into "Season Premieres" and Episodes that close/end a Season should be all categorized into "Season Finales".
